UKMCS Membership
Our membership represents healthcare professionals actively involved in the care of women with cardiac disease in pregnancy or research in this field. Membership of the UK Maternal Cardiology Society is divided into three categories best suited to the maternal cardiac workforce, including those retired and persons from organisations and charities involved in the support of women and families affected by cardiac disease in pregnancy.
Membership Types

Ordinary
Ordinary members are healthcare professionals actively involved in the care of women with cardiac disease in pregnancy or research in this field. Ordinary members may propose candidates for ordinary membership, attend all meetings, take part in voting and be eligible to stand for council.
Ordinary membership costs £50 p/a

Resident Doctor/Nurse/AHP
For persons in training. Including:
- doctors in training of all levels
- nursing and midwifery staff
- allied health practitionersTrainee membership costs £30 p/a

Associate
Associated membership include persons from organisations and charities involved in the support of women and families affected by cardiac disease in pregnancy, as well as those involved in scientific study. Associates may attend scientific meetings but shall not be eligible to attend the annual general meeting, vote, hold office or propose candidates for ordinary membership or council. Associate membership requires formal application to the council via the secretary, approval by a two thirds majority of council members, and is reviewed every two years.

Affiliate Membership
You can also take up discounted British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) membership as a UKMCS member. You must have an active subscription with UKMCS before applying for Affiliate membership. As part of the application process you will be required to provide proof of your current affiliate membership (Membership number/ID).
